Funders

We are delighted to acknowledge the following funders who are currently contributing to our work:

The Hadley Trust is a charity whose aims are to assist people who are disadvantaged, either by direct financial assistance, involvement in project and support work or research into the causes of and means to alleviate hardship.  They work with over 50 registered charities, including Social Firms UK, who are active in these areas.

The Sobell Foundation was established by the late Sir Michael Sobell in 1977 for general charitable purposes and is a grant-making trust with which he was actively involved until shortly before his death in 1993.  Grants tend to be made in line with the founder’s interests which are principally causes benefiting children, the sick, elderly, needy and disabled. www.sobellfoundation.org.uk

The LankellyChase Foundation is an endowed registered charity with assets of over £100 million.  They disperse their income principally to other UK Registered charities who are working within our specified areas of interest.  www.lankellychase.org.uk.

As part of the Cabinet Office, the Office of the Third Sector (OTS) leads work across government to support the environment for a thriving third sector (voluntary and community groups, social enterprises, charities, cooperatives and mutuals), enabling the sector to campaign for change, deliver public services, promote social enterprise and strengthen communities. The OTS was created at the centre of government in May 2006 in recognition of the increasingly important role the third sector plays in both society and the economy.
