Sunlight Development Trust is a multi-award winning community owned and managed 'work integration social enterprise*' (WISE). Their overriding aim is to tackle health inequity and improve wellbeing by providing an improved range of social, medical and community activities, facilities and opportunities. Sunlight Social Enterprises CIC is a separate but integrated company that oversees the delivery of a diverse range of enterprises, with 100% of trading profit transferred to the Sunlight Trust to deliver maximum social and environmental gain. These enterprises include community cafés, parenting support services, a radio station and sound studios. Sunlight uses these businesses to provide work, training and volunteering opportunities in areas such as marketing, administration, finance, catering, horticulture and advocacy.
